Because although Prometheus doesn’t post very often, just about every blogpost he does put out is a treasure.
He’s now written a 2-part series on how alternative practitioners acquire and keep their loyal subjects, er, “patients”, paying and grateful, called “How they do the voodoo that they do so well “:
The series deals primarily with practitioners who claim to cure autism, but many of their tactics could easily be extrapolated to any practitioner not using evidence-based treatments (i.e, those which have been shown to have an advantage over a placebo).
ETA: OK, he doesn’t seem to have an RSS feed (blush) . So at least bookmark the guy!
